Mr.
Marshall continues as a director of Ferroviaria Oriental, G&W's
affiliate in Bolivia, and Ferrocarriles Chiapas Mayab, G&W's
subsidiary in Mexico.
From
1995 until 1997, Mr. Marshall was a railroad consultant, specializing
in line acquisitions. During this time, he did the groundwork
that led to G&W's operations in Mexico, Canada and elsewhere.
Between
1978 and 1995, Mr. Marshall worked for Conrail in various capacities,
including Sr. Vice President - Marketing & Sales and Sr.
Vice President - Development. He helped steer Conrail toward
deregulation and then put in place the commercial policies to
make deregulation a success. He was also in charge of Conrail's
public and governmental affairs.
Prior
to 1978, Mr. Marshall worked for the Pennsylvania, Frisco, Baltimore
& Ohio, and Chesapeake & Ohio railroads in engineering
and legal capacities. Much of his legal work involved the regulation
of railroads. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania,
Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Mr.
Marshall is a memebr of the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority
and a Director of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. He serves
on the Railroad-Shipper Transortation Advisory Council, a statutory
body chartered to advise the Congress, DoT, and STB on rail
transportation policy matters. In the past, he has been a Director
of the Provident National bank in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania
Chamber of Business & Industry, and the Trailer Train Company.
He has a BSE degree with Honors in Civil Engineering from Princeton
University and a JD degree from the University of Michigan Law
School.
